February: The Month of Love

February is known as the Month of Love, and as most of us know, Valentine's Day is on the 14th! Flowers, candy, candlelit dinners for two... I remember when I was single, being an unromantic romantic, I did not need flowers or candy or romantic dinners, but when there was no "certain someone", then for some reason, this day can be brutal for the single person! The history of Valentine's Day is a bit shaky. The day was indeed named after Saint Valentine, though there were three of them. One story suggests that an ancient Roman Emperor, Claudius II, believed unmarried men made better soldiers, so he banned young men from marrying. Valentine, a priest, felt this was an injustice to young lovers and performed marriages in secret. When Claudius II found out about this, Valentine was ordered to death! Then, there is Cupid! He was the God of Love in Roman Mythology; his mother was Venus. There is a story where Venus was jealous of the beauty of a mortal, named Psyche. Venus sent Cupid to punish Psyche for her good looks, but Cupid fell in love with her instead. Colors are often associated with this month. Red has often been associated with sex and passion, and pink with love. Certain foods have also been known to help stimulate love within us.

BELIEVE IN EACH OTHER...

Those who truly love each other, believe in each other, because in order to love someone, you must believe in them. Only a pessimist says "seeing is believing", but an optimist believes in advance, and says "believing is seeing". Love always believes for the best, and through love a couple believes in each other. Love believes in you, it’s been supporting and encouraging you since the day you were born. Believe that? Think about all the supporting people you have had in your life.

In all of your relationships you have the ability to see the best in people, and to believe the best in those people. When you meet someone for the first time and find that you like them, it’s due to something positive that you seen in them. Now since people are imperfect, you most likely had chosen to have an open mindset in that initial meeting. The question here though is, what is it that you liked about them? You must have initially given them the benefit of the doubt to find some positive aspects about them. Now it is possible that you could have gone into the meeting with pessimism or optimism, and came out with two completely different viewpoints based upon your own thought mannerisms.

Too Close.......

To a lonely heart, something so simple or trivial can be another's insanity.
For myself, it is kissing. I had past love in which got me on it like a drug addiction. But later, being back to solitude, it has become something that doesn't come by as much. But as my desperate soul has to get, I have gotten close to new friends, and more especially female friends. And one girl who interests me and she's even single has been locked-on by my heart.
Day in and Day out I see her and talk to her and all that same old stuff. But what gets to me is how close I get.
Not emotionally and romantically, Physically.
I seem to have a weak gravitational pull to her and get so close. And I stare at her.
Boobs, butt, curves, legs, don't care.
What I just can't get over is her lips. So close to mine, and mine are close to her's. And each word, each dumb joke, no matter, just those lips keep going. And all I am is stuck on that. She may feel I have something for her, but I just want to go for her and touch.
Kiss her. I don't mind how much or for how long, that's all I would want.
But I might go full force, and go with too much as if I was the bashful girlfriend and she was the oblivious boyfriend of some romance movie or anime. Just can't get over it, such a simple person and I want it bad.
And probably she'd kill me after she recoils from the kissing attack.
All I can do is obsess.
